New rule: from now on I’m only photographing events with delicious food.
I attended the sixth-annual Farm to Table Dinner presented by Cecil Farms and Hillview Farms Meats at White Chateau. You can’t eat much more local than this event – held on the rolling hills where the produce was grown. And oh my word – these families know their business and know how to throw a party. I enjoyed not only being there for dinner, but getting to see everything come together.
It was awesome to see the farm families and their friends helping prep food and serve all the attendees. The hospitality shown is a real testament to why this event is a success every year.
Besides the dinner, my favorite part of the day was seeing the amazing floral design by Katie Ann Cecil. All the flowers were picked from the farm, and the wheat was saved from last year for this purpose. Too cool.
