Cathryn and Aaron are basically the sweetest couple ever. They have timeless style, are quick to laugh and are so obviously in love that you can’t help but smile at them. Pair that with a fun location and you have a recipe for a great engagement session!

It’s been almost two years since Cathryn and Aaron met. They spent their first date at a Louisville gem – the 21C Art Museum, followed by dinner and a concert – which they were late for because of great dinner conversation.  They had their second date the next day (a Portugal. The Man concert) and have been inseparable since.  They’ll be saying “I do” next April at White Chateau in Owensboro, Kentucky.

We spent a little time location scouting in Louisville and stumbled upon the perfect rooftop for their session. You probably wouldn’t expect the top of a parking garage to be a dreamy spot, this worked beautifully. We had the place to ourselves except for a brief visit from a couple walking a dalmatian puppy (which is the kind of interruption I dream of, honestly!). The late-afternoon light was a gift and I love that the Mercer building – the iconic domed building in the skyline – is where Aaron works! We also crossed the river to Indiana to get some romantic skyline shots.

I can’t wait to get to know these guys better and to be a part of their big day!
